Why 2NE1’s new song is released late at 2pm?

What is the reason for 2NE1 to release their new song ‘I Don’t Care’ off their upcoming 2nd minialbum late at 2pm unlike the other artistes?

Their new song ‘I Don’t Care’ will be released at 2pm on 1st July. Other singer would have released their new song during early mornings. Some fans are commenting, “This is an advantage for them on music charts.”

But YG explains that this way they can prevent any case of source leakage. They said on a phone interview, “Usually the new song will be delivered to the record company the day before. And there will normally be cases of music leakout.”

“So if 2NE1 is to release their new song in the afternoon, the song will only be delivered out only in the morning. This is to prevent music leakout.”
