Taeyeon is the leader of Girls' Generation. She is currently a DJ of Good Friend Radio with Super Junior member Kang-in and was the first member to release a solo track ("If") for the drama Hong Gil Dong. She was also in Lee Bul's music video for "영원" ("Forever") and also sang "들리나요...? ("Can You Hear me...?") in the Beethoven Virus soundtrack. She won a YEPP Popularity Award at the 2008 Golden Disk Awards.[12]

She recently made headlines after it was announced that she would become part of the reality show We Got Married, being paired up with comedian Jung Hyeong-don.
